How long to allow
Allow 1–2 hours for a short visit along the nature paths, as a planning estimate. Add your travel time and leave room to pause along the way.
Access and activities
General access is free. Guided activities may have separate charges; check the details of any activity you intend to book.
Which entrance to use
Aim for the Sali Scelti building on Via La Palma, on the Cagliari side of the park. The infopoint is on the ground floor at this entrance; use this as your arrival point when planning the visit.
From central Cagliari
From Matteotti (terza banchina), a CTM journey without changing buses takes you to Poetto (fronte Campo Rossi). The example uses route PQ and takes around 15 minutes from departure to the bus stop.
From there, allow about 14 minutes to walk the remaining 0.9 km to Via La Palma. This is a walking estimate; add waiting time before the first bus and check CTM departures and service changes before setting out.
Walking or cycling along the waterfront
An alternative is the pedestrian and cycle route from the port via the Su Siccu waterfront and Galleria del Sale towards the park entrance. Make the waterfront part of the outing, and allow time for the park itself as well as the journey.
Before setting off
Check opening times and access arrangements before travelling. Follow the paths and give wildlife space. If you have particular access needs, contact the park about the route you want to use.
